I have included my stories as well as my before and after photos.
My goal is to help others prepare for their cosmetic procedures through
my own experiences and also with the help of other patients on our
message boards. If you would like to read more about me and the
procedures I've had, please see the About
Me page. The reason the site
is named, Yes They're Fake, is originally because of my breast
augmentation and was a "screen name" given to me as a joke. I had a small personal website and once I
started researching more procedures due to requests by others, the website grew from there.
That's it! No mystery, no major saga. I do want to say that it does not
mean if you have plastic surgery you are considered fake, nor are the photos or
stories shared on this website fake. These are real people with real feelings
just like you! No one should be looked badly upon for seeking out
cosmetic plastic surgery. No one. As I always say, live and let
live; you don't have to agree, but you should be able to respect that others
want to improve their physical well-being. Now that that is cleared up... I
have
included information on mini-procedures such as microdermabrasion,
micropigmentation (permanent make up), non-ablative lasers, mild chemical peels, etc. as they
are non-invasive and milder than going under the knife. Perhaps
something minor is all you need to reach your goal. I
also have included information on skin care, cosmetics, hair care, nail
care, exercise and more! As surgery is not always the answer to
the more common complaints. I have
given my honest thoughts where applicable, and although I am attempting to offer
you an unbiased view, I will not say something isn't dangerous or isn't a
waste of money if, in fact, it is. Every procedure may not work for
every person, but there are usually a few options for each person to help them
obtain their goals. I
also want you to know that the information on this site will
always be free
because pre-operative (and post-operative) patients are already faced with a
multitude of expenses, decisions and obstacles. Why add any additional
stress? At YTF, you'll never be charged for "Procedure Information
Packets" or for memberships to our patient support forums, chat rooms,
photo galleries or other online information. You should know as much as you possibly can before undergoing any
type of surgery because preparedness is a powerful thing. Here, we
tell it like it is and we're happy to do so.
Bottom line?
I just want everyone to walk away as informed as they can be and get an idea of
what may be in store for them should they choose to undergo a cosmetic plastic
surgery procedure. I know I wish I had found a site like this before my
aesthetic pursuits. I am not claiming to know everything, just a little
about a few things. Be aware that the technology behind this gazillion
dollar industry is endless and changes by the second. If you have any
information regarding new procedures or products, please E-mail
and enlighten me!
