What I Did
For A Rounder Rear-End – Micro Fat Grafting
Hello All
My name is Christine; I am 34 years old and live in California. Written here is
my experience. From a person with a very flat buttocks, to a person who now can
wear tight jeans with confidence!
It all started on the day I visited my family doctor, while sitting in the
waiting room, I picked up an Allure Magazine that was on the table…skimming
through it I noticed an article written about Improving your Buttocks… In that
write-up I saw a story on a procedure called Micro Fat Grafting. The
before and after photos were impressive, and for the first time I was quite
excited to think that there would maybe be an option for me to have a round
rear-end!
Now those of you who do not have a flat rear-end cannot relate! But for those of
you who have grown up with a flat rear, this kind of news really gets us
excited! Because of our flat rear ends, we have limited ourselves to only
certain style of clothes, never tight pants without having a shirt or sweater
cover most of the rear, and I tended to wear skirts so others would not notice
my rear, but even then, I always had to have my skirts altered because skirts
they are made to fit a woman with a rear-end. If you do not have a round rear,
the skirt flairs.
So, when I saw this article, needless to say, I finally felt there might be a
solution. I tore the page out, came home and hit the Internet looking for this
Dr. Roberts who was featured as doing this procedure. I quickly found his
website www.betterbuttocks.com
and gathered more information about the procedure, the next day I phoned his
‘Patient Coordinator” to ask some questions.. What she told me was very
promising. The only problem was that I lived in California, and they were
located in S. Carolina. I was able to get a quote over the phone after I emailed
pictures of my rear-end and the doctor phoned me when he realized that I was
very serious to discuss the procedure and cost. I WAS HOOKED! There was no
turning back once I realized that I could possibly live my dream of having a
rounder rear! If I didn't do it I would have thought about it the rest of my
life, every time I looked at my rear in the mirror…there was NO TURNING BACK!
I set the date, got a hotel for 5 nights and started dreaming…
I flew in the day before surgery and Pam, the patient coordinator, picked me up
from the airport and brought me to the office to meet with Dr. Roberts. At this
point I was VERY nervous, thinking to myself…what am I doing… the office was
almost empty since I had arrived around 5:30pm…
Details About
My Pre-operative Appointment...
I undressed, Pam took before pictures and then I met Dr. Roberts for the first
time, only speaking to him on the phone in the past. He was just like I
envisioned since I saw his picture on the website. He was a very friendly, and
as most doctors, very serious type. After since he had been in over 20 magazines
and has taught other plastic surgeons all over the world his procedures…. Not
to mention he pioneered the Laser Technique…I was confident! But still VERY
nervous.
He looked at my body and studied it, he went to every spot on my body where he
though he could get fat from (which were many!) The exciting thing for me was
that with him needing to get fat from other parts of the body to graft onto my
rear, I was getting liposuction also! So not only would I have a round rear-end,
I would also have a slimmer, sculptured body!
After we discussed the procedure and results, the anesthesiologist came into the
room to meet with me, he was very friendly, and seemed to be VERY experienced.
But I have to tell you that I was so nervous at this point…for no reason, but
I kept thinking, “why am I doing this” this is I think very common for
people before surgery. Pam drove me to my hotel, and we had arranged a sitter for me for 24 hours after
surgery since I flew there alone.
Details About The
Surgery...
One of the nurses picked me up from the hotel
the morning of surgery; I was so tired that it is only a faint memory. Once in
the office, I was prepped for surgery, and laid on the operating table…. This
is that last thing I remember until I woke up…. Very sore! Because I had the
fat removed from my upper arms, stomach and lower back, I had a girdle on my top
half and bottom half. My rear-end felt a little sore - but not too bad. Beside
soreness there is no major pain, plus they gave me pain medication.
Recovery was not difficult, within two hays I was up and about on my own, even
walking to the store across the street from my hotel. I just couldn’t lay
directly on my back, I needed to lay on my side.
5 days after the surgery I flew home, and continued my recovery. Every day the
swelling was going down more and my new rear was taking shape. I was so excited
to try on my clothes…
Here I am, about 5 months post-op. I am very pleased with the results, so
is my husband! I actually had a guy tell me I had a nice rear end! I smiled
inside.
Would I recommend it? YES...it has changed my life. I would recommend if people
want to find out more about the procedure they go to his buttocks website at www.betterbuttocks.com
