I have added a thorough page on mammograms, magnetic resonance imaging, x-rays of the breast and breast self exam instruction. Included are images of normal and abnormal mammograms and x-rays. Also provided are many important links regarding breast cancer. Early detection is the best way to defeat breast cancer.

WOW! Don't Drink The Water!
Lots of Breast Augmentations this last month and next! Goodness! I just wanted to mention we have a lot of new pre-ops awaiting their surgery and they could all use a little support on our Breast Augmentation message board! Some of you have been there and done that and can remember how you felt as well! It's tough but well worth it for many!

NEW Real Success Story: What I Did For A Rounder Rear-End – Micro Fat Grafting
Please read our newest addition to the Real Success Stories Page. Christine from California flew all the way to North Carolina to have Micro-Fat Grafting for her buttock augmentation. She says, "Would I recommend it? YES...it has changed my life."

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) Page is Complete!
For many years, Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy (aka HBO Therapy or HBOT) has been recognized as the definitive treatment for decompression sickness, air embolism, as well as carbon monoxide poisoning. There are approximately 60 medical indications being treated, worldwide, using HBOT either by itself or in combination with other prescribed medications and protocols. This section will give you an overview regarding the successes and hopefuls of HBO therapy.

New Liposuction Technique For Less Trauma - Faster Recovery
Power-Assisted Liposuction (PAL or MicroAire Technique): PAL is a newer technique where the cannula eases through the fatty tissue (even fibrous) with less trauma than traditional techniques and with no burn risks as with the UAL techniques. This new machine uses a special high-speed "linear reciprocating" suction cannula. You see, with the newer cannula surgeons are able to perform more effective high-volume liposuction in a shorter time, without as much trauma, especially in more fibrous areas. Fibrous tissue has always been a problem in the buttocks, "saddlebags" (upper sides of thighs in women), back and the male breast (gynecomastia). The PAL system moves through these areas faster, with less trauma resulting in less work and strain for the surgeon and less pain and a faster recovery in patients.

The Rhinoplasty Page Has Been "Overhauled" AGAIN!
The rhinoplasty page now has a lot more information on it including diagrams by Henry Gray (Gray's Anatomy) for all of the cartilages, bone and inner workings of the nose. I have also added more information on Revision Rhinoplasty and the typical complaints plus their possible remedies. Also included are updated links.

The Breast Augmentation Page Has Been Overhauled AGAIN!
Always something with breast augmentation! An implant "placement" procedure was now become more available in the US making it to where I have actually met quite a few patients with this new placement. We all know about "overs" or "unders," well if you have standard sub pectoral-only placement, you don't have FULL unders. Many patients with sub-pectoral only placement believe that their implants are completely covered by the pectoral muscles when in fact it is only partially covered. The pectoralis major cannot completely cover an implant -- it is anatomically impossible. With the new placement, known as either "full submuscular"; placement or "full unders", the implant is covered with the use of the pectoralis major as in the previous "under" placement but additionally the serratus muscles of the ribs and the rectus abdominus fascia of the upper abdomen is utilized as well to form an almost internal bra and what is showing to be a successful solution against rippling. Please visit the Breast Augmentation page to view information regarding this placement as well as it's advantages and anatomy diagrams by Henry Gray (Gray's Anatomy) that I have used to show how this placement is done.

Also I have added a simple osmosis diagram which depicts the natural occurrence of a molecular H2O exchange through an implant shell.

Additionally there is a section regarding the types of implants available: Saline, Silicone, Hydrogel, Cohesive Silicone and the Strings Implant (PPP).

Breast Augmentation FAQ Page Updated!
But Wait! There's more! I have added information on the Breast Augmentation FAQ Page regarding "silicosis." Silicosis is an ailment of the lungs due to inhalation of the crystalline form of silica. It is a typical disease affecting persons working in quartz mines. The reason I have added this information is that anti-implant advocates sometimes state that silicosis is a disease you can obtain from the amorphous silica (the primary elemental make-up of sand) in a breast implant shell. Please read more on this with toxicology reports as well as industrial hygiene reports regarding silicosis. I am sure I will get quite a response from this from the other side. But really, we are all on the same side. I don't see the point in arguing.

Also added: Bonus FAQ! "How much weight will I gain with Breast Implants?" It's not that much, but more than you'd think! And the addition of FULL submuscular placement information as well.

Incredible Benelli-Lollipop Mastopexy (lift) with Augmentation Pics Have Been Added!
If you are in need of a lift or believe you will eventually have one, one day - I suggest you visit the Benelli Mastopexy Page. A dear friend of mine donated her photos so that you may see the scar maturation at 3 weeks post op! Amazing! Her doctor used Steri-strips for approximately 10 days and the photos were taken right after a few days use of ScarGuard and she hadn't even started with Kelacote. I can only hope to have scar "turn out" like that at even 9 months post op!

New Message Board! Revision Surgery
Unfortunately, the need arises far too often for revisionary surgery. Be it rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, blepharoplasty, facelift or others, the reasons may range from dissatisfaction to surgeon error. Be that as it may, I am developing a section on Revision Surgery and have also made a discussion forum for revision surgery only, although anyone is welcome to offer their ideas and support to others regardless if they are a revision patient or not. Also, I am currently making a channel in the YTF! CHAT room http://thesiteline.com/bluechat/bluechat.cgi
specifically for the use of revision patients. Here you may vent, trade information, discuss concerns and solutions, offer support and more. We hope to have the revision section up soon and search for revision specialists as well.

The Wrinkles Page Has Been Updated AGAIN!

Now additional injectable filler information! I swear these things (wrinkles) are like antibiotic-resistant bacteria!! As soon as a new product or technique or procedure comes out these little nuisances rise up and conquer again! I will continue to research this subject and add information accordingly.

Please Send In Your Photos For The Gallery
Or ask your friends to do the same. We are very empty and are trying to get a good-sized gallery going to help others out. Visitors keep writing in and asking for more pics but I can't provide photos if no one wants to send them in! This site works better with your help.

Attention: More Message Board Information
Our message boards are provided by Boardhost and we have no say-so over the advertisements seen on them. We also didn't put "Visit Our Sponsors!" or "Please Support This Site" on them either. If you see anything like that it is their doing not ours. One day we will change to our own message boards but for now I believe they provide an excellent service, especially for the price -- free! So, disregard the gambling stuff and the signs saying "Keep this site free" - I have nothing to do with it.

Also if you have seen the annoying Jennifer Lopez or Play for a billion dollars "popups" it is Boardhost attempting to generate extra revenue "in a slow period" -- they advised, "this is in no way permanent."

Cosmetic Surgery Correspondence

I am currently working on getting a panel of my fellow comrades-in-beauty together. I have already directed some of my readers' concerns and questions to those who are more qualified to answer them. Some of you have asked questions regarding procedures I have not had myself and I have put you in touch with someone who has. I have a few friends online that have had these particular procedures performed on them and they are more than happy to share their experiences and answer your questions. If you are currently thinking of having a procedure done and want the advice of and "talk" (E-mail or chat) with a REAL patient who isn't biased by the dollar, so to speak, E-mail me and let me know - I will 'hook you up'! If any of you are interested in being on this Correspondence Panel, regardless of your satisfaction with your cosmetic surgery, Email me your information regarding the surgeries you have had and I'll post you as a volunteer. Thanks!

What 's in store for the NEXT UPDATE?
